Dark Jazz Pop Singer & Burlesque Performer

Joy Frost is a dark jazz pop singer-songwriter and burlesque performer. Her alternative jazz album The Roaring 2020s pairs original songs with dark, re-imagined jazz standards rooted in jazz noir.

Joy Frost is known for her dark velvet voice spanning over three octaves, her blend of modern elements with vintage jazz, and combining live vocals with dance in her burlesque performances. She creates a modern twist on old Hollywood glamour while combining singing, pole dance, heels, rhinestones and putting the B in LGBTQ+.

After the success of her debut album Joy Frost and sophomore album Sexual Woman, and receiving support from Spotify editorial playlists with over 6 million streams, she partnered with AWAL for her third album, the double record The Roaring 2020s. Part 2 is slated for release in September 2026. She releases her music through her own label Frosty Records and publishes her songwriting through her own publishing company Glitter Tits Music.

In 2022 she performed a virtual concert to 1.4 million players in the video game Avakin Life. A regular in the Irish burlesque and jazz scenes, she performs across Ireland in established cabaret and burlesque shows such as The Dirty Circus, The Irish Burlesque Awards, and Only After Dark Burlesque.
 

Joy is currently living in Dublin, Ireland and is originally from Salt Lake City, Utah. She is a dual citizen of Ireland and the USA, has lived in the EU since 2014. Joy also speaks fluent German, writes songs for many other artists and publishers around the world, is an audio engineer, music producer, video producer, a GRAMMY® voting member of The Recording Academy, and can crochet better than your grandma.
