SOLITUDE - BY JOY FROST
SINGING POLE DANCER JOY FROST UNVEILS NEW SINGLE
‘SOLITUDE’, OUT MARCH 10TH

Joy Frost has recently released a string of projects that have quickly gained traction. In her unique style of blending modern pop and vintage jazz, Joy Frost is set to make a mark in the Roaring 2020's with her new cover of Billie Holiday's 'Solitude'. Solitude is the second single off her new album coming this summer after the success of her album, Sexual Woman, which has over 4.5 million streams on Spotify.
Solitude is a slow and sultry ballad, swapping out the jazz woodwinds for smooth electric guitars in sultry blues-pop style. A reimagined modern version of the jazz classic written by Duke Ellington almost 90 years ago, long distance collaboration brought the song to life. Musicians from Ukraine supplied the piano and bass, while the guitar solo was played by none other than one of Joy's listeners in the Czech Republic. To promote the single on social media, Joy pairs the track Solitude with drone clips of her alone in breathtaking cliffs around the world.
Solitude drops March 10th, the day before Joy's birthday, making it her final act in her 30th trip around the sun.

TIKTOK TRENDS
In my solitude
You haunt me
with memories
of days gone by
In my solitude
you taunt me
with reveries
that never die
I sit in my chair
filled with despair
there's no one could be so sad
with gloom everywhere
I sit and I stare
I know that I'll so go mad
IN my solitude
I'm praying
Dear Lord above
Send back my love
